This thesis is about the way the Fulbe of Mayo-Darle relate to the question of education, be it formal or informal, the Koranic or the governmental. As Muslim, Fulbe people send their children to Koranic School so they can acquire religious knowledge and also their traditional knowledge which enable them to integrate their community. But in Cameroon nowadays, the governmental education is deemed more important as it is global. So parents also send their children to the government school in addition to Koranic school so they can be both fully Fulbe Muslim and also have competence to compete in the global world. But these two educational systems because they have different goals, there is then a crisis of compatibility which creates discontinuity with the home culture of children.
