dc.description.abstract | This chapter explores historical developments as regards the organizational side of urban Sámi life, with a focus on two specific types of urban Indigenous “spaces” that Sámi activists have created: urban Indigenous NGOs and urban Indigenous culture houses. We compare developments regarding the establishment of such spaces in Norway and Russia, analyzing them through the lens of the concepts of specialization, politicization, and partisanization. | en_US |
