Sammendrag
The thesis investigates if social media with focus on Facebook is used as a digital public sphere. Issues concerning privacy rights online, coercive and manipulative political advertisement are discussed in contrast to the positive aspects of social media as platform for an inclusive, pluralist and community friendly discourse. Independent data from a questionnaire on habits and views on social media, Facebook in particular, is reported and discussed.
